Our Story
Watersports Warehouse was founded by Cameron Rein, a lifelong watersports enthusiast and one of South Africa’s most experienced waterskiers. His watersports CV includes:
- 30+ years of tournament waterskiing experience
- Represented South Africa in international tournaments (slalom, trick skiing and ski jumping)
- Youngest tournament waterskier in the country at the time
- Competed on the South African Wakeboard tour for several years
- Been Kitesurfing for over 20 years
- Has been foiling and Wing foiling since these sports arrived on our shores
Cameron personally tests much of the gear we stock to ensure quality, performance, and value for money.
The Team
Simon Fairbank, has worked alongside Cameron for 7 years +. They have competed together in Waterski competitions throughout the world. His watersports CV includes:
- 30+ years of tournament waterskiing experience
- Represented South Africa in international tournaments for all three disciplines: slalom, ramp jumping and trick skiing
- The South African, and All African champion in Overall, Slalom and Ramp Jumping
- Has coached in both the England and Scotland
- Been Kitesurfing for over 10 years
- Is an accomplished foiler, in both Wing Foiling and behind the boat.
Goodwill Mwera, has worked at Watersports Warehouse for the past 5 years. He is an integral part of the team, and provides order in the shop. His duties:
- Checks all stock coming into the business, and ensures that everything is working and in the right place when needed
- Helps with assembling all kit so that it’s in perfect condition to go from the shop straight into the surf.
- All Kite bar repairs that we do in the shop.
- Manages and ensures your Rental kit is in order
- Looks after the shop when needed. Don’t be afraid to ask Goodwill any questions, you will be surprised how much ne knows!!
In addition, we have Kiting and Foiling instructors, who typically join us for the season.

I am really impressed with the service at this watersports shop. They not only are incredibly keen to help and size you up with the right gear but also bend over backward to find stock and even offered to deliver it. This is really service above and beyond. Also, they have a great selection of all things watersport with an impeccable website full of stock. Well done to the owners and staff. Keep it up. We will be back.
Did the foiling lessons. Brilliant training. With each mistake, a lesson / principle is taught and illustrated by the instructor. Within 30 mins my brother and i were up on a foil behind the boat.
Cameron provides the best service ever! Bought all my kite equipment at his place. All good quality. Very happy with his advice. Definitely going back to his shop when I’m back again. Thanks!
